The Gallery is situated in Whitworth Park, opposite Manchester Royal Infirmary. It is about 1.5 miles south of Manchester city centre, to the south of The University of Manchester campus. Admission is free! We have an excellent café and gift shop on site.

Monday – Saturday 10am – 5pm
Sunday 12 – 4pm
We are open on Bank Holiday Mondays. Please note the Gallery is closed on Good Friday (6th of April)

Gallery Guide
Access to the Gallery
We aim to be accessible to visitors with disabilities. Wheelchairs, rollators, seating, free portable stools are available on request. There is a toilet for disabled visitors. Low lighting in most galleries. The lecture theatre is fitted with an induction loop. Large print information is available. car Parking
Following works to provide improved disabled access, parking is now prohibited immediately in front of the Gallery. There is a drop-off zone next to the entrance. For Gallery visitors only, alongside the railings, there are three designated spaces for visitors with disabilities, and two short-stay (20 minutes) parking spaces. These are not reservable.
There is limited parking in Denmark Road (restrictions apply).
Parking is available in the University Car Parks at Cecil Street (daytime and evenings) and Dilworth Street (evenings only) and at Q-Park, Wilmslow Park, Hathersage Road (24 hours)
